Congratulations to our Apprentice, Steven, who celebrated passing his Level 3 Software Development Technician Apprenticeship this month.

Steven is now working towards Level 4 and has taken on more responsibility within both MSP’s UCCserver and AutoClock teams, working on a range of different projects to build his skills in software development and engineering. We look forward to seeing him progress within the business, well done Steven.

An example of the industries and parts we’re involved with

This month we shared a new video highlighting the different industries and parts we work on.

Who said locating parts on a machine tool and achieving an accurate alignment has to be difficult?

No matter the industry, our NC-PartLocator software makes it easy. It calculates a 6-axis best fit alignment and automatically uploads this to the machine controller. It calculates any discrepancy between the part’s location and the machining program so you can be confident your part will be machined perfectly.

The software also saves a massive amount of time - it can reduce the part alignment process by HOURS!

Award nomination for Alex

AFP-Award-Pic

We had some lovely news this month - our Software Engineer, Alex, has been nominated for an award. He's been shortlisted in the ‘Special Recognition’ Category at the North East STEM Awards. Alex was nominated because of his involvement with various STEM activities and after he successfully reinstated the Computer Science GCSE at his old high school, James Calvert Spence College - an amazing achievement.

Here’s just one of the fantastic comments we received about Alex during the application process:

“Alex's enthusiasm for STEM is contagious. His vibrant energy and genuine excitement for the subject matter has captivated students' attention and ignited a renewed interest in learning. Many students who had lost sight of their ambitions have found renewed motivation through Alex's encouragement/example and he has opened new avenues for students to explore technology/coding. This achievement speaks volumes about Alex's impact”.

His efforts are truly inspiring and we at MSP are extremely proud of his achievements. Congratulations Alex.

Sneak peek of our Advanced Engineering stand

Stand_Preview

We released a sneak peak of our stand at this year’s Advanced Engineering UK this month. Find us at Stand H135 on 1st - 2nd November.

The MSP team will be on the stand to help advise about right-first time machining, optimising CNC machine capability and achieving micron-accurate probe setup and calibration.

New AutoClock demo video

ACWDemo
8 years after his last demo video, we introduced Aidan’s latest video showing how AutoClock works and what benefits it provides.

AutoClock delivers if you need…
  • a micron-accurate measurement of the sphere position
  • automated probe setup and
  • calibration for 24/7 lights-out manufacturing
  • results in less than three minutes

Watch the demo video here.

This video was filmed at Biesse UK on a Materia CL machine fitted with a Renishaw probe and Siemens 840D controller.

Meet Chloe, Sasha and Sam

SWSEOCSS

This month, we shone a spotlight on Chloe, Sasha and Sam. If you need a product install, upgrade or support, these are the people you need!

Chloe has just marked her 9th year at MSP managing all product installations. She’ll guide you through the whole process, there are no queries she won’t be able to answer. We challenge you to find someone as efficient and organised!

If you require an upgrade or support, Sasha is the person you want. She is also our Quality Manager and has been the driving force behind MSP achieving and retaining our ISO 9001:2015 standard! Last but not least, she also manages our Health and Safety and Fire Safety protocols.

Sam is the newest member of the team having joined in 2021. She had the big task of becoming the first AutoClock Product Coordinator but has settled into the role well, organising deliveries, support and testing of AutoClock!

A milestone reached on LinkedIn

2K-Followers

We surpassed 2,000 followers on LinkedIn this month!

Thank you to our amazing employees, customers, partners and supporters for helping us reach this milestone.

We’ll continue to use LinkedIn to share how we help make the CNC manufacturing industry more accurate and automated, while shouting about the amazing achievements of our wonderful employees.

To celebrate this occasion, not only did we get a cake and balloons, but we also branched out onto Instagram - give us a follow to stay up to date with MSP on there.

ISO Standard Training

SW-Edited

Congratulations to Sasha, our Quality Support Manager, who passed the ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (QMS) Training Course this month.

Sasha has been the driving force behind MSP achieving and retaining our ISO 9001:2015 standard, and this advanced training enables a high level understanding of the auditing process, allowing MSP to determine the effectiveness of their management system in achieving company objectives and continuing to improve and strive for success.

ISO 9001:2015 means our customers can be assured they will receive a world-class level of software customisation, system installation and integration, with traceability and quality as the main focus of every stage of the process.
