Following the success of the initiative last year, we were delighted to announce our sponsorship of another Industrial Cadets programme this month!

We have been supporting 6 students from James Calvert Spence College over a 12-week period on an Industrial Cadets Bronze Project to design an app around health and technology. The app uses AI to emotionally and practically score a user’s questionnaire and then suggest relevant local mental health guidance, clubs, sports and activities to them.

The students visited MSP’s offices this month to meet their mentor,Alex, and receive guidance from him on their app creation. We wish them luck with the completion of the project!

Our products all centre around metrology and every year we like to mark World Metrology Day!

This year’s theme of World Metrology Day 2023 is ‘measurements supporting the global food system’. Sadly, at MSP, this doesn’t apply to us so we thought we’d share the area of metrology we are concerned with: CNC manufacturing.

Take a look at this little video showcasing just what metrology can provide for the CNC manufacturing industry.

Promoting careers in STEM subjects

This month, two of our Software Developers, Alex and James attended James Calvert Spence College's annual Careers Fair hoping to inspire students about the world of work and STEM careers.

They spent the day educating students about the different paths within the manufacturing industry and their own experiences as Software Engineers.

MSP was one of many businesses attending, with others including building societies, universities and the NHS, and we were delighted to highlight the exciting job opportunities manufacturing and engineering has to offer.

Thanks to the organisers for arranging such a fantastic event.
