Our Applications Engineer, Stefan Hafner, visited Renishaw Canada this month to train some of their engineers in the MSP PerfectPart suite of products so they can complete installations across Canada and demonstrate how MSP’s products work alongside Renishaw’s probes to deliver precision measuring and machining.

We’ve completed this for many Renishaw subsidiaries globally over the years including Spain, Poland and Czech Republic.

There have been multiple development trips this month. These trips were perfect opportunities for our engineers to advance new features for the entire MSP PerfectPart suite of products.

These features will be making their way into the products later this year so watch this space!

This month, we were delighted to announce our sponsorship of the Finals of the Northumberland Star Talent Contest hosted by HospiceCare North Northumberland.

Many of the MSP team, friends and family are connected to or have been touched in some way by the invaluable service HospiceCare North Northumberland provides. We’re delighted to support this fantastic event - events like this are so important to help raise funds so the Hospice can carry on their critical work.

We have sponsored HospiceCare North Northumberland events in the past including their annual Fashion shows.

Expertise article: How much do you know about probe setup and calibration?

When it comes to 5-axis CNC machines, it’s important to remember that they are only as good as how they’ve been setup. The better the setup method, the better the machine performance.

This is why the probe’s setup and calibration has to be completed to the best quality it possibly can be.

Our latest article defines what to consider when completing these procedures and how to ensure they are performed to the highest accuracy. Read it here.

Our Commercial Director, Tony Brown, and Director of Development, Marianne Whitfield, visited JEC Paris this month.

They had this to say about the event: “JEC World is a fantastic showcase of everything the Composites industry has to offer, whilst also being a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces”.

The marketing team also gained extensive inspiration for MSP’s own exhibition stands from the amazing ones there.
